ACA Registry — Designation

System Builder

System Builder

Definition

The System Builder designation recognizes compliance professionals who contribute at a structural level — designing, implementing, or transforming compliance systems rather than solely operating within them. It identifies practitioners who build the infrastructure others rely on.

Criteria

  • Documented involvement in the design or architecture of compliance systems
  • Experience leading or contributing to compliance transformation projects
  • Use of frameworks, methodologies, or platforms to structure compliance operations
  • Senior or lead role in compliance system implementation

Evaluation Logic

Profiles are evaluated through keyword and semantic analysis across biography, job titles, and expertise tags — in both English and French. The system detects structural compliance vocabulary (architecture, implementation, transformation, framework design) alongside senior role signals. A minimum threshold of matched indicators is required.

What It Signals

  • Ability to operate at the structural level of compliance
  • Experience building systems, not just executing within them
  • Contribution to institutional compliance capacity
  • Relevant for organizations seeking to build or transform their compliance function

Governance

The System Builder designation is assigned during structured profile evaluation by ACA administrators. It is based on documented evidence from the professional's submitted profile and is not self-reported.

This designation is issued by the ACA (African Compliance Association) Registry based on structured evaluation. It is not self-reported.
